What to Consider When Building
Is there a standard size?
We will build to whatever size you are wanting. Buildings can be customized with windows, entry doors, and garage doors.
Will you prep the site?
Waverly Structures provides excavation and pad services. If you would like to provide your own pad you will need to work closely with our designers to ensure it meets all requirements for building. Contact us if you have questions.
Do you pull the permits?
It is the customer’s responsibility to determine if a building permit is required. If one is required, it is also the customer’s responsibility to apply for the permit. We will provide all of the details for the application. Be sure to verify any city or county regulations or homeowners association requirements.
Will you pour cement floors?
Yes, we will pour the floors if you would like us to. Or you can use any concrete company of your choice.
How are the details of my project, including terms and conditions, documented?
A formal contract is developed that outlines the details of your structure. The agreement is signed by both the customer and Waverly Structures managing member. Any changes to the original contract will be submitted on a change order and signed by both parties.
What are the payment terms?
All projects are managed in the same manner. A 30% deposit is required at the time of the contract signing. When the project begins, customers pay 60% and then 10% once the structure is complete and a satisfied walk through is complete.
What type and size of walls are used?
Depending on the size of the building, a 2x6 or 2x8 foot (3 or 4 ply) laminated post is used.
